| Sandvipers 18 loses to Yankees after the 1st and 3rd outs in the bottom of the 9th inning are made after Justin Hicks was ejected in the 7th inning arguing Balls and Strikes. The Sandvipers were leaft with only 8 players and were forced to take the 3rd out in the 9th inning after Steven Wright doubled and advanced to 3rd on a throwing error in the 9th inning. The Vipers were losing 8 to 0 in the 9th when the Vipers patience at the plate and timely hitting came through in the 9th. Santino DeWreede continues his dominance of the Yankees on the mound with 3 scorless innings and striking out 5 hitters. Steve Johnston was the only Viper with multiple hits. Yankees defense was solid as Wellman the Short Stop had 10 put outs in the game. Sandvipers 18 will look to put the loss behind them when they face the Demons in the LVABU at Paul Meyer 7pm on Saturday October 16th. |
