Posted Oct 9/10 - Sandvipers have poor showing in World Series
The Sandvipers seemed to have a good chance going into the NABA 25 Wood World Series. After losing 3 pitchers and traveling only half of the starting lineup they soon found they were not able to get it done. While the Sandvipers were in every game, errors and poor base running were the doom. The Sandvipers committed 35 errors in just 5 round robin games and made the final out of the inning 11 different times throughout the tournament.
The one bright spot for the Vipers was the play of Ryan Moore. Ryan had a strong showing on the mound and consistantly hit the ball well. Drew Vertes lead the way with 6 hits for the Vipers in the Round Robin.
