What are the costs to play rep baseball, for the PG Peewee Knights? (Jeanette and Brenda, please feel free to add/fix where needed here!)

There is a refundable uniform deposit (this is from the league, to ensure they get jerseys/belts back at end of season), $100.

All-star fee to league -- $150.

Each player will pay a team fee, exact amount TBD. (Expect $200-$250 range.)

There will be a "team garment" cost -- to order the "keeper" stuff such as (to be discussed) secondary jerseys, secondary pants, secondary hats, BP shirts, windbreakers/warmup jackets, hoodies, socks/stirrups, long-sleeved shirts, "representative shirts" (golf shirts), etc. (About $150, all items kept by players.)

Players will be expected to have their own long grey pants (plain grey, no piping), and short (below the knee) white pants (a place to purchase will be provided, usually about $40/pair).

The players are to be dressed alike -- to be discussed are red or black undershirts (no white), etc.

There is also a very good idea floating around (thanks, Seth!) about the team tying the secondary jersey design to a worthy cause.

Players are asked to purchase black or red cleats, places they can be ordered from are available under "LINKS". Team batting helmets will also be considered.

Catching gear is available through PGYBA, though some of the catchers will want to look at buying their own gear, we can look at that through a source so we have a uniformity for colors (example, Mizuno). Catchers should provide their own catcher's mitt, one they are comfortable with, same for first basemen with their trappers.

Strongly recommended -- a good pair of "turf shoes" (running shoes/trainers) for practice; a wood bat for BP (an excellent training tool)... and more to be discussed.

Travel -- see the schedule and calendar for an idea of when/how often we will travel. Work is already being done to attract teams to come to PG for games and maybe even a home tournament. Since Quesnel will not have a team this year to compete against, even more work must go into finding games to prepare the team for provincials and to put the lessons learned in practice into game-action.

AND... we are ALWAYS open to suggestion/ideas/feedback. It makes the program stronger.
