YOU MAKE THE CALL?

Controversial call on the Island makes YouTube!  The Red Eagles were irked by a late safe call with bases loaded in their June 27th 8 - 6 loss in Nanaimo.  The play was a force at the plate and the umpire ruled that the catcher was off the plate.  

The tough part for the Eagles was listening to a fan's comment to the umpire that the catcher was off the plate.  Then 4 seconds after the play was made at the plate and as the runner was past the homeplate dirt area and starting to undo his glove the umpire made the safe call.   

This play has now gone viral which will give everyone an opportunity to put themselves in the umpire's place and make the call!
