Mounties Take Bronze at USSSA Invitational

The
Vancouver Mounties manhandled the Auburn Cobras in their quarter final
game defeating them by a 17 to 1 score. In the Semi final game the
Mounties were leading 1 - 0 through 4 and 1/2 innings but were unable to
hold the strong hitting Derby Boys Combat team off the scoreboard and
wound up losing 3 - 1 in a very heated and emotionally charged battle.
The Mounties had their chances to blow the game open leaving 9 men on
base including the bases loaded twice. The Derby Boys went on to defeat
the Pro Baseball Club Braves Red 11 to 5 in the Championship Final.
