The Bluejays win yet another elimination game, this tim 9-2 over the Bruins. This post season,Plato has taken the hard road and it doesn't get any better, as the Bluejays face the Winsted Wildcats with a state tourney bid at stake. Saturday 4pm in Watertown Plato vs Brownton, Heller vs Tony W 2nd inn, with 2 out and Lang running from 1st, Boomer doubles to the fence, Lang scores. Nixy then Doubles in Boomer, 2-0. 3rd inn After the 1st 2 hitter are out, the Bluejays go to work. Ode,E single,Lang singles in Ode,Slater singles in E,Boomer walks,Nixy 2 RBI single, the an Error, and before you know it, 5 runs had crossed home, making the score 7-0 5th, Boomer walked,Nixy singled,Dean sac bunt, Johnson doubled in 2 more. 9-2 an that ended up being the final. Tony cruised through 9 inns, giving up 1 ER and only 3 hits while striking out 7. He had all 4 pitches working, and the offense gave him a big lead to work with early.
