Notes:
Another great section war. A heart breaker for the Jays, as a walk off homer wins it for St Michael in the bottom of the 9th. Score tied 3-3, top of the 7th. 2 out, nobody on, Nixy doubles, Smothers walked, Johnson singled. With bases loaded KP singled in Nixy 4-3, Then Smothers straight up stole home 5-3, Eric reached on an infield single, and Johnson Scored.6-3 Plato St Mike gets a unearned run in the Bottom 7th. Bottom 8th St Mike gets 2 big runs to tie the score at 6-6. Top 9th, Dean walks, Nixy singled, Smothers grounds into DP, Johnson comes up with clutch single to give us the 7-6 lead. The Saints came out swinging it in bottom 9. after a out, then double, double, Home run to win it. A very tough loss for the Bluejays who battled hard all night. On the hill, Boomer started went 6 2/3 inn, 3 Earned runs. Ode pitched 1 2/3 inn relief, to pick up his 1st loss on the yr. At the plate Johnson came to play, going 3-3 2 walks, 2 runs scored, 2 RBI. The loss drops Plato to 2-1 in section play. The Bluejays showed alot of heart battling on the road against a great hitting team. Very pround of the effort!! |
