Notes:
The 1st inn started rough as 2 throwing errors led to a Saints run. In the 2nd Nixy Boy singled in a run. The game was a tight battle till the 6th inn, when the Bluejay Stadium wind played havic with a pop up, and it started a big rally. D-Hue, Eric and Boomer all singled, then after a walk, Tony lifted a ball over the road in left for a granny and made the score 7-1.Tony went 7 inns without givin up a earned run. Smothers pitched the last 2 inns and the Bluejays are 1-0 in Section 8 play. Side notes......... Nixy Boy dazzled us all with his play in right field. Stealing a run with a nice dive!!...... Joey Copas made his Bluejay debut, and gunned down the only runner that attempted to sneak over to 2nd.... Also the Bluejays had 5 hits thats 1 more than they had in the previous 2 games combined......... Also Eric extended his hit streak to 3 games......... This is the 2nd time this year Plato played a game with only 9 players. |
