Notes:
Both teams had to battle the weather in this game, as the wind was whipping in across the field. Plato struck 1st in the 2nd inn as Dave Paulson clubbed a 2 out double, and Brian Graupmann singled him in. St. Boni got 1 back in the 5th on a couple walks and a single. Dave Donahue reached base on a error to start the bottom of the 8th, (throw allowed him to reach 2nd) then he takes 3rd on a pass ball.Jon Becker hit a towering ball to center that was good for a sac fly, and a 2-1 lead. Then the next hitter Scott Welch added a insurance run as he belted a home run, estimated at 390 feet. Adam Tellers went 5 inns on the mound but got a no decision.Donahue was sharp as he pitched 4 shutout innings for his 1st win as a Bluejay. |
