| Game Notes: Game 1 goes to Marshall. Smothers got thrown out at the plate in the 1st, but Donahue got a clutch 2 out rbi to put Plato up in the 1st. The Marshall sticks were to much for the Jays pitching as they jumped out to a 8-1 lead. The Bluejays tried to rally by knocking out the A's starter in the 7th with 3 runs, but they countered with just as good of an arm, and hold the Bluejays the rest of the game to get the victory. Plato out hit the A's 12-8 but the runs win games. Plato road tripped to Marshall with just 10 guys but still fought hard, and in the end the depth was to much.The A's played flawless defense and didn't walk a batter. | ||||||||||||
