Notes:
Bluejays bounce back from a couple tough losses with a 10-4 win over St Boni. Smothers got his 1st career start on the mound and pitched 6 scoreless inns for the win. The well was dry, so Eric made his 1st appearance on the hill in over a year, and mopped up the final 2 inns. A instant classic that will go down in history.......... Smothers on 3rd, Eric hitting, the pitcher is in the full wind up with 2 outs. Smothers gets a huge jump off 3rd attempting a steal home, as he is running home he is screaming...DONT SWING! DONT SWING!! DONT SWING! at the unexpected,flustered Eric. Eric in a haste, squares to bunt and bunts it to the left of the pitcher, who fields it and throws it down the right field line, everyones safe! The South Update Plato needs either a win over Green Isle on Sunday or 1 Hamburg loss to capture the South Title. WP= Smothers LP=Dice |
