THE PLATO BLUE JAYS WIN A BIG GAME AGAINST THE COLD SPRING SPRINGERS IN THE QUARTERFINALS OF THE 2026 STATE TOURNAMENT WITH A FINAL OF 6-0. NEXT UP, DELANO IN THE SEMIFINALS!The Plato Blue Jays win agasint a veteran seasoned squad in the Cold Spring Springers witha final of 6-0 in the quarterfinals of the 2026 State Tournament to advance to the Semifinals against the previous champions, the Delano Athletics! Reece Schwirtz was a Dog again ont he mound and the bats came alive with some excellent small ball. Will Hoernemann came in to close out the game for the Blue Jays and seal the deal.Plato will now advance to the Semifinal Round of the 2026 Class B State Tourney! We will face off against Delano in another big match up. Games are all back in Shakopee and we play Sunday at 11 a.m. Crazy year as well as 3 of the 4 remaining teams are all from the CRVL. Shows the quality of baseball we have around us. We hope to see everyone there again as it was awesome seeing the sea of blue in the stands and oh yes, WE COULD HEAR YOU ALL ONCE AGAIN!!!! WE WILL BE OUT THERE FOR BATTING PRACTICE AND ALL THE SHIRTS WILL BE THERE FOR YOU TO PICK UP.PLEASE STAY OFF THE NEW ASPHALT AT THE BALL PARK UNTIL NOTIFIED THAT YOU CAN WALK OR SIT ON IT!!!! Blue Jay Stadium is getting a face lift. Lots of projects going on!
The infield was leveled off and the dirt was replaced.
Mound and homeplate and around each base were replaced with new material.We are putting in a new retaining wall by the first base dugout along with some new asphalt for the fans to enjoy. Keep and eye here for pictures of all the updates.
