| 1/6 - Sandvipers 18 lose to the Hurricanes at Paul Meyer 12 - 9 Despite hitting 3 Home Runs Vipers are handed a First round playoff loss. Home Runs hit by Steven Wright, Justing Hicks and Chris Ponto. 1/7 - Sandvipers 18 Win in convincing fashion putting up 8 runs in the 8th inning capped by Santino DeWreedes back breaking Grand Slam. DeWreede also got the win on the mound with 7 inning pitched. Steve Johnston and Wes Cox each collected 4 hits for the Vipers. Cox hit an inside the park Home Run in the 7th to put the Vipers ahead for good. Sandvipers will face the Yankees 7/14 in a best of 3 games series. 2 Games Sunday then game 3 if needed will be held either Monday or Sunday the 21st. |
