| Posted Aug 7/11 - Sandvipers Walkoff Ambush in Birds and Hamiltons Debuts |
| John Birds and Mike Hamilton made their Sandvipers debuts versus the Ambush. Birds was 0-3 while Hamilton did everything and more expected out of the leadoff spot. Hamilton was 3-4 with a double, RBI and a stolen base. In the 8-7 Win over the Ambush Steven Wright hit a walk off 2 Rbi Single in the bottom of the 8th. In the 8th inning the Sandvipers loaded the bases after Hamiltons RBI single and Steve Johnston hit a RBI Double. DeWreede and Hicks walked setting up Wrights walkoff. Notes: Kyle Clarke went 6 innings for the Sandvipers giving up 4 runs (3 earned) and struck out 5. Steve Johnston continued his hitting streak running it to 14 Games in the N.A.B.A. Sunday league. Sandvipers next game is Sunday 8/14/2011 against the Yankees at 1pm at Western HS. |
