Sandvipers and Dodgers will play at 1pm on Sunday at Chapparal. Nate Haberkorn has been traded to the Dodgers for future considerations. This move frees up space on the Sandvipers roster welcoming back Greg Shepard and anticipating the season debut of Kris Jensen. Kyle Clarke will continue his scoreless innings streak when the Sandvipers vist the Dodgers Sunday. Clarke has currently gone 14 Inning without giving up a run. The last run that scored was against the Giants on 4/3/11. Kyle has given up a total of 4 ER in 29 innings pitched and has a record of 5-0 this season. Sandvipers pitching staff has been solid outside of the first game of the season. Clarke, Johnston and Carque have given up a total of 9 ER in 51 innings this season while striking out 65 batters over that same span. Milestones: Santino DeWreede has collected over 60 stolen bases in his career in just over 400 plate appearences. DeWreede needs only 8 strikeouts on the mound to hit the 100k mark for his career. Steve Johnstons next plate appearence will be his 1000th for the Sandvipers and is 2 hits from career hit 300. |
