| Posted Mar 4/11 - Sandvipers Shephard has season ending ankle surgery |
| Greg Shepard who was looked at to be a main piece in the Sandvipers lineup had Ankle Surgery this week after breaking the ankle on a play last Sunday during the 25+ MSBL White Sox game at Rancho High School. Shepard will miss the entire first half of the season. Sandvipers hope Shepard will have a good recovery and rehab and be available after the All Star break. With the Roster opening the Sandvipers added Jeff Lundell bringing another bat to the Lineup, and has the versatility of playing 3rd Base and Left Field. Lundell will work into the everyday lineup. Sandvipers season starts Sunday at Cheyenne High School at 9am vs. the N.A.B.A league Champion Black Sox. |
