| Posted Feb 21/11 - Few Sandvipers Get Season Warm UP |
| Some Sandvipers players got a preseason warm up in the NABA Kickoff Classic Feb 19-21 in Las Vegas. Sandvipers 25 Pitcher/2B Jeff Cochran (Padres) turned in a complete game 4 hitter and hit 2 doubles Aganst the Southern Oregon Slayers. Steve Johnston 3B (Padres) of the 18 Sandvipers lead the Sandvipers with 4 hits. Also playing in the tournament Sandvipers 18 Nate Haberkorn DH (Dodgers), Santino DeWreede OF (Padres), Steven Wright OF (Padres) and Greg Shepard 2B (Padres). Defensive highlight of the tournament was a deep fly ball hit to center field over the head of the shallow playing DeWreede, he raced back and made an out stretched catch to end and inning VS the Sourthern Oregon Slayers.! Good Job Guys! |
