Posted Jul 21/14 - End of Season/Playoffs

The Blazers finished the regular season at 5-15 which finished them fifth in the south and continued to make strides as a young team. The season is not yet over as the Blazers will take on the Glencoe Brewers in a best of 3 series for playoffs, starting on Wednesday night at 7:30 at Glencoe. Game 2 will take place at Winsted at 7:30 for Mayer's home game and then game 3 will be back at Glencoe at 2 if needed. The Blazers want to thank all of their fans for supporting them all regular season, but hope to see continued support as the team tries to make a playoff run. 

Posted Mar 6/14 - Start of the 2014 season!

The 2014 season is set to start for the Blazers, at home against Young America on April 27th at 2 pm. The game may get rescheduled due to weather, but if the field is ready to play, so will we. So we hope to see everyone there for a fresh new season of Mayer Blazers baseball!

Posted Aug 1/13 - End of Season/Postseason

After an up and down season, the Mayer Blazers finished off with a 4-16 record, which finished them 6th in the North division. The first round matchup with rival Watertown started off well, winning the game 9-8. The next two games in the series the Red Devils won easily as Mayer's offense didn't show up in either game. The Mayer Blazers would like to thank all of there fans for coming out and supporting them all season and hope to see everyone again next spring as the Blazers expect to do big things next year.

Posted Jun 24/13 - 6/19 - 6/23 Recap

On June 19th, the Blazers lost a close game against Young America 4-0, Tanner Luebke and Erich Strehlke pitched a great game, but the bats could never get started. On June 22nd, the Blazers let too many chances slip away against the Red Devils and ended up losing 9-3. During Sunday's game on June 23rd, the Blazers were in the game only losing by a couple runs until Winsted pulled away in the 8th inning by scoring 6 which turned into a 11-1 loss. Pitching kept Mayer in every game this week, but offense was non existent in each of there losses. The Blazers look to bounce back on Saturday, June 29th against St. Boni! 

Posted Jun 18/13 - 6/15 and 6/16 Recap

On Saturday, June 15th the Blazers played against Glencoe at home, but was shortly rained out after the second inning and will be PPD to a later date. On Sunday, June 16th the Blazers had a cross town matchup against the New Germany Dutchmen. The Blazers were able to score early and often against the Dutchmen winning the game in 7 innings 14-3. The next matchup is on June 19th at Young America at 7:30, hope to see everyone there!

Posted Jun 6/13 - two game recap

The Blazers played a tough game against Waconia, on a great pitching performance by Logan Radde who went all 9 innings in a 3-1 loss on 6/2. In a Wednesday night showdown against Hamburg the Blazers were winning in the early innings, but ended up giving the lead and evenutally falling 14-4 in 8 innings on 6/5.

Posted May 1/13 - Tough loss for Blazers

Tough first loss for the Blazers as they fall 23-1 against Brownton on April 28th, in the home opener. They will look to bounce back on May 5th at Carver, hope to see everyone there!
