Game Notes: Pius had a relatively easy time against City opponent Milwaukee Madison on Wednesday afternoon. The Popes jumped out early with a quick 3 runs in the bottom of the 1st. Pius scored 4 in the 2nd, 1 in the 3rd, and 3 in the 5th to put this one in the books after 5 innings. Give Madison credit, they showed a lot of heart and were still playing hard as the game got out of control for them. Senior Tim Pauly started on the Hill and was relieved by Junior Jessie Stewart in the 5th. Pauly got the win allowing 2–Hits and striking out 7. Sean Saglin stayed hot with a 2 for 2 night, and Scoring 3-Runs. Junior Dan Foy was 2 for 2 with 3-Runs scored and 3-RBI. Carlos Torres had a pinch hit Triple. Steve Lenski and Jessie Stewart each reached base 2X’s.
