Playing in their first organized exhibiton game of the season, the Burnaby Braves collected an 8-6 win Sunday afternoon against Aldergrove. The game was called after five innings due to rain. Trailing 5-3 in the 5th, the Braves rallied for five runs with the help of four Aldergrove errors. Lucas Grant, who was awarded the coveted team tomahawk, had a clutch single to give Burnaby the lead and Michael Briglio's plated the insurance run with an RBI infield groundout. Jack Yaremko picked up the win in relief, allowing a hit over an inning and two thirds. Kyle Kochi threw 2 2/3 innings to start before Kaz Kada made his first appearance of the year on the mound. The Braves next action is Tuesday evening when ace Sam Van Snellenberg will make the start in his first appearance of the spring against the Delta Dodgers at Ron Mclean.
