Countdown to First Practice!! (Nov 13/11)

Southwest Virginia Juniors has now begun officially accepting members for the 2011-12 season. To join SWVJ, click on the handouts button to the left of this screen and download the File "Welcome to the 2011-12 season". This contains complete instructions on how to join SWVJ. Please contact the director if you have not already done so and are new to SWVJ, to make sure that space is available on the team for your age group. We are hosting teams at the 14s, 16s, 17s, and 18s levels. Our 18s team is almost full and our other teams are filling very quickly. We will consider adding teams, if we get enough players in the 15s or 13s age groups. Contact the director with questions.

Southwest Virginia Junior Volleyball Club- LLC

     Welcome to the cyberhome of Southwest Virginia Junior Volleyball Club,LLC. Our mission is to provide young women with access to the latest volleyball techniques, tactics and training methods while stressing sportsmanship and character development. 

    SWVJ is ready to begin it's 6th year. In the first season, 2006/07, SWVJ hosted 54 athletes in 4 age divisions and completed throughout Virginia and North Carolina. In our 2007/08 season we had over 60 athletes in 5 age groups. Our 13s teams played in 4 events, the 14s in 8 events, our 15s and 16s in 9 events. This year, SWVJ will offer a team at the 18s level, and will also host teams at the 14s, 16s and 17s levels. SWVJ is the largest club in the New River Valley and now draws athletes from Roanoke, Floyd, Blacksburg, Wytheville, Salem, Christiansburg, Carroll Co., Galax, Radford, Craig Co., Tazewell, Bluefield and Bristol. The thrust of our programs is training our young athletes in the skills and strategies to allow them to develop into a solid, able volleyball players.

18 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after September 1, 1993 (or Sept. 1, 1992, if still in high school).
17 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after September 1, 1994
16 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after September 1, 1995
15 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after September 1, 1996
14 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after September 1, 1997
13 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after September 1, 1998
12 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after September 1, 1999
