Waukesha West 6 Mukwonago 10

Waukesha West played Mukwonago Thursday. West had a hard time avoiding errors and getting hits. Trevor Burg threw a complete game scattering six hits, striking out seven, walking three, while giving up only four earned runs. Burg has only given up six earned runs, while the young wolverines have only provided him with nine total runs of offense in his three starts this year. West took a one to nothing lead going into the top of the second. Burg struck out three of the next four batters. A dropped third strike caused the fourth batter to reach first base. With bases loaded, a misplayed pop fly to center, along with three errors on the play and all of a sudden the bases were empty and Mukwonago was up four to one. In the top of the of the fourth again Burg got no help as back to back errors help Mukwonago score two more runs. West then went scoreless for five innings. In the bottom of the seventh, West rallied to score five runs, but little too late as the game ended with the score ten to six. With the exception of John Shields who went four for four, West batters struggled as they struck out eleven times. Below you will find the updated pitching stats for the season.

Waukesha West 9 Kettle Moraine 8

Waukesha West freshman played KM Tuesday at West and won a dog fight. West again pulled out to a six to two lead after two innings. Kettle Moraine kept coming by scoring at least one run in each of the next four innings. At the end of six and one half, West found themselves in an eight to eight tie. In the bottom of the seventh, Troy Engibous scored the winning run from third on a single to right by Jon Roepke. Roepke also pitched a complete game giving up eight total runs, five being earned, striking out ten while walking just four. At the plate Roepke again had a big game going three for five, scoring twice and two runs batted in. Trevor Burg continued to keep his hitting streak alive hitting now safely in six straight games with a single in the fifth. John Shields hitting in the clean up position went two for three with two runs batted in. West plays Mukwonago next June 16th @ West 1:30P


Waukesha West 13 Waukesha North 10

Waukesha West played Waukesha North Friday, West again tried to let one slip away, when the young Wolverines had a hard time throwing strikes. Dan Rossdeutscher took the mound and struggled throughout the game as he threw three complete innings. Rossdeutscher gave up 10 runs, five earned runs, three strike outs, while walking twelve. David Stasiewski started the top of the fourth walking the first batter and having the second batter reach on an error. With no outs and Northstars on first and second with the score thirteen to ten favoring the Wolverines, in came Trevor Burg. Burg came in to face the two, three, and four hitters for North, getting the first hitter to ground to Roepke who threw to Thomson for the force out. With men at first and third with one out, Burg struck out the next two batters to end the game. Burg finished the game pitching one inning, giving up no runs, no hits, striking out two and walking none. Joe Thomsom continued to be on fire at the plate going three for three, scoring three times, with one run batted in. Trevor Burg who is also heating up went two for three with another long double, scoring three times, and two runs batted in. Jon Roepke also contributed with three runs batted in. Troy Engibous got a hit in his only plate appearance. West will try to avenge Pius @ Dyer park 4:15pm Monday June after Pius beat West ten to seven earlier in the year.


Waukesha West 12 Waukesha South 11

Waukesha West played Waukesha South Monday. This could be the start of great match-up in years to come if the results of the game are any indication of the future. West has now won four in a row to bring their record to seven wins three defeats and one tie over all. In the Classic Eight Conference play, West is six wins and only two defeats. The only losses are to Arrowhead and Pius. Jon Roepke took the mound and pitched a complete game. Roepke pitched well through out the game giving up eleven runs, five earned, ten hits, two base on balls, while striking out ten Blackshirts. West took a big lead going into the top of the third, six to one. South then scored every inning after that putting up three runs in the third and four runs in the sixth to take a ten to eight lead. West came back scoring three runs in the bottom of the sixth to go ahead once again. In the top of the seventh, leading eleven to ten, West gave up the tying run going into the bottom of the seventh. In the bottom of the seventh John Shields led off with a hit followed by a sac bunt by Evan Lindberg. After DJ Heinisch and Jake Diekfuss walked, Anthony Captain took strike three. With two outs and the bases full Ben Tejada stepped up to the plate and hit a ground ball to short that was to hot for short stop Ely Peterson to handle allowing John Shields to score form third to win the game. Joe Thomson continues to hit as he went three for four. DJ Heinisch also went three for four. Ben Tejada going one for four with three runs batted in.


Waukesha West 12 Kettle Moraine 5

Waukesha West Freshman are starting to come together as they beat Kettle Moraine twelve to five to win their third straight game Saturday. John Shields started the game from the mound and threw well through four innings, giving up five runs, two earned, striking out five and walking only one. Trevor Burg came in to get the save finishing the game throwing three complete innings, allowing no runs, striking out seven, and walking two. West bats are starting to come alive, West scored five runs in the second on a hit by Joe Thomson sandwiched between long doubles by Dan Rossdeutscher who was two for four with two runs batted and Trevor Burg who was one for three with two runs batted in. West also scored four runs in the third to put the game out of reach. DJ Heinisch went two for four with two runs batted in. Joe Thomson went three for four and three runs batted in. Jon Roepke went two for five with four runs batted in. West will play cross town rivals Waukesha South June sixth at 4:15pm @ West

Waukesha West 12 Waukesha Catholic Memorial 8

Waukesha West Freshman played Catholic Memorial on Friday June 3rd. The Waukesha West pitchers had a hard time finding the strike zone again, as they ended up walking sixteen batters through six innings. DJ Heinisch took the rock and got the win, pitching three innings, giving up three runs, all earned, striking out three and walking ten. Dan Rossdeutscher came in as mid relief in the fourth, to end the Memorial threat. With bases loaded, Joe Thomson fielded a ground ball tagged the runner going to second and threw to first for a four, four, three double play. Rossdeutscher than ended the inning getting the next batter to fly out to short. In the fifth Thomson again was in the middle of a small burst by Memorial. After a walk to start the fifth inning, Thomson completed a six, four, three double play to stop the threat. In the sixth, walks started to build again for West. Walking five out six batters, Rossdeutscher was done for the day, Going two innings, and walking six. With bases loaded Trevor Burg was asked to come in and throw strikes, and did for the most part, pitching one complete inning, allowing one hit, no earned runs, striking out one, while walking one, to get the save. Thomson not only being good in the field is starting to heat up at the plate going two for three. Jacob Hotz was big in the bottom of the line up going one for two with two runs batted in.


Waukesha West 3 Mukwonago 2

Waukesha West Freshman baseball team got back on the winning side downing Mukwonago three to two. Jon Roepke took the mound to start the game and never looked back. Roepke threw a complete game, giving up only one earned run, six hits, striking out ten and walking only two. Roepke has been tough so far this year, in four appearances and eighteen innings, Roepke has twenty three strike outs,six earned runs, allowing twelve hits, while walking only seven. From the hill, Jon Roepke and Trevor Burg continue to be a great one two punch for the young Wolverines this season. West got off to a quick start by scoring in the top half of the second when Jacob Hotz singled home Jon Shields to take a one to nothing lead. Hotz now hitting five hundred for the season going four for eight with four runs batted in with no strike outs. Mukwonago scored in the bottom of the second on a walk, stolen base and an error by Burg. Roepke held off Mukwonago until the seventh inning. In the bottom of the seventh inning a long fly ball triple over the head of DJ Hienisch to right center field who eventually scored on a hit and an error by Evan Lindberg. Roepke proceeded to KICK IT UP A NOTCH striking out the next two batters to end the game. Trevor Burg had three of the four total hits for the West Wolverines. West will play Catholic Memorial @ West 4:15pm June 3rd.


Waukesha West 1 Hartland Arrowhead 3

Waukesha West freshman played Arrowhead Monday afternoon to suffer their third straight loss three to one. It was GREAT pitching against GREAT pitching. West for the second straight game showed little patience at the plate. Arrowheads starting pitcher pitched the complete game striking out ten Wolverines giving up one earned run while walking just two. Trevor Burg threw a great game feeling a bit like Ben Sheets having little run support. Burg threw a complete game taking the loss giving up only one earned run, two hits,striking out five, and walking just two. Trevor Burg continues to be tough on the mound through the young 2005 season allowing four earned runs striking out twenty while walking only six in fourteen and two third innings West will play @ Mukwonago June 1st starting at 4:15pm.

Waukesha West 5 West Allis Hale 13
Waukesha West Frosh. played West Allis Hale Saturday and lost thirteen to five for their second loss in two days. West could only manage three hits, while they struggled at the plate striking out thirteen times. Pitching for the first time of the young 2005 season Jake Diekfuss took the mound. During his five complete innings, Diekfuss gave up thirteen runs,with nine being earned,nine hits,four walks, while striking out one. David Stasiewski came in to finish the game throwing the last inning shutting down all three batter he faced striking out two. West did try to get a rally going early by jumping out to a four to one lead going into the bottom of the third. In the bottom of the third the wheels seem to come off as Hale scored seven runs on three West errors and four hits. West Allis also scored five runs in the fifth to keep any rally that West had in mind at bay. West will try to turn things around Monday at Arrowhead. The game is scheduled for 4:15pm

Pius 10 Waukesha West 7
The Waukesha West freshman lost to Pius XI Friday night as the walks, fly balls, and errors hurt the young Wolverines. West was off balance all night, flying out thirteen times, walking thirteen batters, and committing five errors. John Shields through one and one third innings giving up three earned runs,striking out two while walking four. DJ Heinisch came in to finish the game throwing four and two third innings, yielding three hits, one earned run,striking out nine, walking nine. Jon Roepke continued to be strong at the plate going two for four. David Stasiewski for the second straight day had another extra base hit a double in the second. This follows a triple in last nights game. Jacob Hotz is heating up as he went one for two and is now three for five in just two games played.West looks to turn things around Saturday against West Allis Hale at 10:00am @ Bellich Park.

Waukesha West 11 Hartland Arrowhead 9

Jon Roepke had a great all around game pitching a complete game giving up six hits, three walks, 6 earned runs, striking out seven, and walking only three. Roepke also had a big night at the plate going three for four,with three RBIs. David Stasiewski had a long double to the right center field gap in the bottom of the sixth inning scoring Evan Lindberg which turned out to be the winning run.


Waukesha West 19 Waukesha North 11

Trevor Burg goes yard with a three run bomb in the top of the second inning capping a nine run inning to set the pace. Burg ended the game going two for four with five RBIs. DJ Heinisch started the game striking out the side in the first. Heinisch started the second and lost a bit of his control walking five of the next seven batters. Trevor Burg came in midway through the second and finished the shortened five-inning game, striking out five allowing two earned runs while walking just two. Jon Roepke went three for five scoring three times. Joe Thomson also scored three times drawing base on balls three times. Kyle Kiser walked all three times he was at the plate.

Waukesha West 7 Tosa East 5

John Shields started and pitched an outstanding game keeping Tosa off balance through out four innings while holding them scoreless. Shields pitched five innings giving up three hits, four earned runs, striking out nine, while walking five. Clay Schlegel came in to relief and threw strikes allowing just one hit, Jon Roepke came in to close out the game pitching one complete scoreless inning. Roepke also went two for four. On defense Ben Tejada had a Brett Boone play at second base going back to his left on a high pop over his head to make a spectacular play. Troy Engibous ended the game with great play at third base to stop any rally Tosa East might have had in mind.

Waukesha West 2 West Allis Central 2

Trevor Burg got the rock for the first game and pitched five complete innings giving up two hits, one earned run, and striking out nine, while walking just one. Jon Roepke came in to pitch in the sixth, seventh and eighth to down the Bulldogs. Roepke ended up throwing three complete innings giving up no hits, no earned runs, striking out five, while walking just two. Jake Diekfuss went two for two with a stand up double in the second inning. John Shields went two for four.
