The Tryout Process

All interested and qualified players (including players from last season) are invited to participate in once-a-week conditioning beginning 12/21/11.

All interested and qualified players are invited to register for Tryouts which will be held on 1/21/12 and 1/22/12.  There is a $25 registration fee for Tryouts.  This fee covers both days of Tryouts. Participants must attend both days.  (Players from last season’s roster are not required to attend Tryouts.)  On 1/22/11 players will be notified if they have been selected to move forward.

Players selected to move forward from Tryouts will attend twice-a-week conditioning sessions beginning 1/23/12.  Players may be dismissed from the Tryout process at any point during this time.  Players must also complete player data forms (with full contact and career information) and nondisclosure agreements.

A second tryout will be held 4/7-4/8, 2012.  This Tryout will be for any who missed the earlier tryouts because of qualification or other issues. (i.e. graduating college players who were still NCAA eligible at the time of the first Tryout.) Players who have already been selected from the first Tryout and who have been participating in Conditioning will not need to Tryout again.

Following the second Tryout, all selected Players will continue with a new Conditioning and Practice schedule (announced at a later date.)  All players who are still involved and competing for positions on the final roster after the second and final Tryout, will be required to submit a medical clearance form from their medical provider, bio and profile information.   Submission deadlines for these documents will be announced at a later date.

The final Columbus Lady Wings roster will include no more than 15 players.  The final roster will be announced by the end of April 2012.
