Voodoo 4-3 over Burnaby to move to 13-3 in league play.  Also counted as the opener for the May Tourney.

Bats were quiet early and we were down 3-1 after 3.  We came alive to tie it in the bottom of the 4th but first we needed Rory to induce a 6-4-3 double play in the top of the inning with bases loaded and one out, Garde making a great turn on the play.  Garde then led off with a hard hit ball and came around to give us the 4-3 lead after 5 complete.  Rory pitched 3 shoutout innings in relief and we held on to win with the tying run on base in the top of the 7th.  I would be remiss not to mention that we had the bases loaded in the bottom of the 6th with none out but an electro magnetic pulse explosive device had to have been setoff as something destroyed our communications systems for that half inning.

Today's 2nd tourney game (exhibition) with the WR Red Sox was a lot of fun.  We spotted them an 8-2 lead in a first inning that took an hour to complete.  I had stated that we would move some people around and put some new people on the mound this weekend.  Partial mission accomplished as we had to get down to it to shut down the Red Sox for the next 4 innings while rallying to take a time shortened 5 inning game, 10-8.  Jeff capped the comeback with a 3 run laser shot to CF in the top of the 5th and Isaac closed out in dramatic fashion...just like I planned...honest!!  I did appreciate Isaac's concern for my sanity that he shared with me on the mound in the midst of the first inning...and I thought I was competitive...8^)  Love it!

Tomorrow at 10:00 we play ND Cubs at Hillcrest, 9:00 AM warmup.  I think they are tied with us, I'm not sure yet but you must be aware by now that every team that plays us from here on in will be trying to prove something.  Bring it on!
