"Hang in there, baby" with the kitten on a limb.

JT pitched a scoreless opening two innings while we picked up 3 runs.  Jeff put another zero on the board in the third while we picked up another score to make it 4-0 after 3.  A single followed by a fielder's choice, back to back errors, a balk and another single got them to 4-2 after 3 1/2 innings.  We  replied with 3 in the bottom of the 4th off a walk, a single and a FC - that's putting the ball in play to pick up baserunners!  It was  7-2 after 5 complete as Garde throws another zero on the board in the 5th after taking over from Jeff.

Top of the 6th - Whoa!! 2 singles, a walk, a FC, a 2B, a balk, an error on a two out missed 3rd strike which scored a run follwed by another K swinging on a fullcount later, Van Minor has 4 runs back.  7-6 after 5 1/2.  So Espy leads off by drilling a single which is followed by Jason's run scoring double who is then knocked home by Rory, making it 9-7 after 6 innings.

Jason starts the bottom of the 7th with 4 straight balls and hits a batter before leaving with a sore arm and a swollen face from an earlier bad hop grounder (nice field!!).  Rory enters and after going 0-2 plunks his batter in the helmet.  Bases loaded none out.  Rory then induces a first pitch flyball to CF that Espy snares and Espy completes the DP play on their hit and run effort.  They score making it 9-7, two out on the play.  Rory then induces a soft grounder from the next hitter and we are out of yet another jam.

12-3 is a record you should be proud of as it's always a team effort with you guys.  We had 5 guys on the bump last night, that's pretty cool.

Tournament starts this Frdiay night with our game against Burnaby.  Remember that it's a league game, as well.
