The Triangle Nighthawks will be preparing to kick off the inaugural season for the APDFL. The Triangle Nighthawks will be kicking off at home March 16 against the Wilson Ruff Ryders @ 7pmat home against a tough APDFL opponent as both teams race to the APDFL championship to get there 1st win. Mission Statement
Triangle Nighthawks will be based out of Raleigh, North Carolina as a nonprofit organization tied closely with the community. Our goal is to take talented young men and make them Nighthawks so that they can excel into the next level of college football or even possibly the College Football, National Football League, or Europe Professional Football. We believe that taking care of and showing appreciation to our Nighthawks will start a cycle that will make Triangle Nighthawks the team football players will not only gravitate to but aspire to be a part of. The next premier team in Raleigh.
About us
We are a non profit team trying to make a difference in the area and the community to give young guys an opportunity and a second chance to excel and hopefully make it to college or to the next level such as afl, cfl, Europe ball or even the nfl. We are based out of Raleigh and we are looking to expand with different things and to help out our community. With the Head coach/owner Pierre Yancey having 7 years of playing semi pro football and being an owner around the area. Coach Pierre takes his coaching job serious he believes in having fun but he also believes when you step on the field its time for business, he is also known around the community and around the states for his big heart in helping anybody in need and always willing to teach anybody that wants to learn the game. Football is his passion and he takes it to heart. The Nighthawk family would like to congratulate Christian Forde to assistant coach/defensive coordnator who played at Rutgers University from 2005-2008 and having coaching experience in the Cornerback position his coaching experience was for Thunder & Lightning football organization you are welcomed to the Nighthawk family these 2 guys make up the Triangle Nighthawk coaching staff. The owners Andrea Montague, Coach Pierre Yancey, & Sheree Hawthorne knowing a lot about football and knowing a lot about what it takes to run a business.The Triangle Nighthawks would also like to congratulate Coach Pierre's wife Chavida Bunch and daughter Tatyana Waldron as the Executive Manager & Executive Manager Assistant. We are one big happy family we welcome you to the Nighthawk family. The Triangle Nighthawks would like to congratulate Head Coach Pierre Yancey for being appointed to Regional Director for North Carolina by the APDFL League. The Triangle Nighthawk family would also like to congratulate Skylar Epps for being appointed to team defensive captain his hard work on and off the field willing to help others out going out of his way to make his team better helping when someone needs it. Also the Triangle Nighthawks would like to congratulate Steven Stewart on being appointed to team offensive captain, Steven also is a hard worker that goes out of his way to hurt others never saying no for anything not just on the field, Steven takes his captain position real serious on and off the field doing what he has to do to make his self better but also his teammates and learning much as he can from his coach. The Triangle Nighthawks is for being role models and helping the community, the Nighthawks loves charities and believe in doing charities such as helping the homeless, help feed the homeless, being mentors, giving back to the community thats just a little bit of the charities the Nighthawks believe in doing. This is the Nighthawk favorite slogan Go Hard Or Go Home. Blessings are just coming the Nighthawks way The Lord is blessing the Nighthawks as we always put God first before everything we would like to take this time to welcome these two people our new videographer/photographer Romeo Brown stay tuned for info on Mr. Brown. We would also like to welcome to our coaching staff as our new offensive coordinator Michael Nordeen, originally from Story City, IA where he was a 2 time all district offensive lineman. He was also a letter winner in basketball, baseball, and rugby. After high school Michael attended The University of Iowa on a football scholarship, where he studied sports management/health. Aftere injuries Michael transferred to Ellsworth Community College where he was an All Conference center. After ECC, Michael went into the work force in Iowa, volunteering at local high schools. In 2010 Michael played semi-professional football for the Carolina Cowboys, where injuries forced him to quit playing. He then took a coaching position at Roland-Story High School as the offensive line coach. Michael Currently lives in Waterloo, Iowa with his wife Jamie, with a upcoming relocation to Raleigh, North Carolina. The Lord truly blessed the Triangle Nighthawks with these to gentleman. Help the Nighthawk family welcome these two new guys to our family. The Nighthawks would like to welcome two new coaches to the Nighthawk family, we would like to welcome back Rob Terry who served as Defensive coach last season he has came back to be Defensive Line and Special Teams coach we welcome you back Coach Rob. The Nighthawks would also like to welcome new face to the coaching staff Coach Gary Spencer has knowledge of playing football wit 3 years of Jr High, 4 years of High School where he was a captain his senior year , he also played 4 years with the semi pro team Raleigh Raiders where he was a captain for 4 years and 1 year with the Carolina Chargers. Coach Gary coaching experience goes like this he learned from playing and working with his brother. Coach Gary has 32 years of coaching experience with middle ad High schools where they won they won the conference championship, he also coached the City of Raleigh Lions Park wit 2 conference championships. We would like to welcome Coach Gary Spencer as the Offensive Line and Special Teams Coach. Our newest coach is not a new face round here in Raleigh nor wit the Nighthawk family playing with some of the coaches and players. Coach Richico Hartsfield started playing at the age of 5 years old he played for the the Wake Forest Bulldogs he moved his career to Wake Forest middle school and then moved on to Wake Forest Rolesville High School where he was 2nd in rushing in 1998 the year he graduated. Coach Richico graduated and left for Juco where he played for Fort Union in VA for 2 years. He played semipro for the Raleigh Knights for 4 years and played 3 years for the Capital City Cowboys where he retired. Coach Richico accepted the job to be the RB Coach for the Triangle Nighthawks we welcome you to the Nighthawk family. The Nighthawks would like to welcome a new addition to the coaching staff Desmond Woods who played and specialized in Linebackers he is the LB coach welcome Coach Desmond. These 4 guys help make up the 7 coaches as the Triangle Nighthawks Coaching staff. Lets go to work guys.
