Posted Sep 25/11 - Redbirds Win Chesterfield Fall Tourney
The Redbirds won the Chesterfield 9U Fall Kid Pitch Tourney.  The team win was driven by great pitching with Redbird pitchers allowing just 9 runs in 5 games.  The Redbirds also won they're 50th game of the season on Sunday bringing our record to 50-12-2 on the season.  What a great season with one game to go this fall.  Great job boys!!

Posted Sep 7/11 - Redbirds Win Ballwin Labor Day Tourney
The Redbirds were victorious this past Labor Day weekend in Ballwin.  This is our first kid pitch tourney title!  All the boys played extremely well.  We threw strikes and we put the bat on the ball all weekend.  Great job Redbirds!
The Redbirds had an unforgetable weekend in Kansas City June 23-26.  Starting with a quality win over the Cardinals on Friday night.  On Saturday the Redbird bats were silent early against a good KC Phillies team.  After pool play the Redbirds were seated #9.

The first seed game matched the Redbirds agains the KC Tigers who proved to be no match.  In the second game of the day the Redbirds played an exceptional game against the #1 team in Missouri, the Blue Springs A's.  The final score was 16-15 including a great force play to end the game.  On Sunday morning the Redbirds faced the KC Phillies once again with the good guys coming out on top.  The Redbirds were down and scored late in the game to take the win.  The next game was against the Odessa Mashers who is another high ranking team in the state.  The Mashers were mercy ruled by the Redbirds with a score of 14-6.

On to the championship game!  In an epic back and forth battle with the Vipers...the Redbirds hung in there and squeaked out a 15-14 title win to become AA State Champions in Missouri.

All in all....the Redbirds beat several top ranked teams in the state to accomplish this great goal.

Posted Dec 31/69 - Fun Jasper trip with great baseball!
Our trip to Jasper, Indiana was very enjoyable and we learned that there is good baseball outside of STL.  The rules, especially around base running was a little tough on us.  We started the weekend with a tight loss to the Owensboro Bulls and our kids learned how to chatter (an art they brought back to Missouri).  The second game was a tough game against a very good team in the Louisville Titans.  We opened Sunday with a quality win agains the River Rats and closed out the tournament with a walk off loss to the Indy Canes.

All was a fun trip and we got better defensively as a team!
