 Welcome to the home of the 2012 Rutherford Rays!
An 18 and older Collegiate summer Team (Wooden Bat)


     

The Rutherford Rays (formerly the Belleville Rays) have been competing together since 2006. The team was put together by former General Manager and Present Asst. Coach Bruce Daddis. The team was originally comprised of high school graduates from Belleville mixed with a few collegiate players. As the years moved on, and David Caruso took over, the team has formulated into a Collegiate Summer team that has competed in the NJ Metrolpolitan League, and now, the NJABL.

The Rays are excited to kick off their inaugural season in the NJABL. The league is comprised of 18 teams throughout NJ and NY and is highly competitive. Rays' manager David Caruso is hopeful for the Rays to have a turnaround season after have a down year in 2011. More information to come, and LET'S GO RAYS!

The Rays are anchored by a core of players:
Caldwell College infielder, Joe O'Donnel.
St. Lawrence first baseman, Jeff Kott.
Catholic University 3B, Marc Hanna.
Bergen Community college OF, Mark Alessio.
Kings College 2B Anthony Re and Catcher Chris DeCarlo.
Former Newark Bears P, Aaron Kalb "AK 47".
Montclair State P Joe Santora.
Former Seattle Mariner farmhand, Mike Vitale (Pitcher).
And 6 year veterans, both former Montclair State players and graduates, Joe Zembryski (also Seton Hall) and David Caruso (Manager).
