The Ridge Meadows Lake Monsters won again to run their league record to 5-2-1 and continue to climb the standings. Currently the Lake Monsters are leading the group of Ridge Meadows teams within the Midget 'AA' league. More positive news saw Lake Monsters center fielder Connor Epp close to a return to the lineup as he took batting practice on Monday and worked out at the field. With Connor's return appearing imminent the Lake Monsters are poised to add even more speed to their lineup. The game itself saw a 9-5 victory for the Monsters and a season first complete game thrown by rookie Jeremy Zirk. Zirk was dominant throughout the game, rarely getting into trouble. Jeremy Zirk had an extra inning basehit that propelled the Ridge Meadows Lake Monsters to a 9-8 victory over Poco. However, these young players stepped up and delivered another win. This is the 3rd in a row!
Lake Monsters Crush Cubs with Convincing Victory

The Ridge Meadows Lake Monsters put forth their most convincing win of the season, trouncing the Coquitlam Moody Cubs by a score of 14-0. The win did not come without a cost as Monsters outfielder Connor Epp has injured his shoulder and is listed as day-to-day. It's a quick turnaround for the Lake Monsters as they matchup with the Port Coquitlam Red Sox the next day at 7:00 p.m. back at home (Albion). The Monsters are on a bit of a tear of late and look to continue the momentum into the break before the Scott Smith Tournament.
