Monsters make it 2-0 vs. Royals this Season!

The Monsters made it 2-0 vs. their cross-town rival Royals by winning at Albion last night 6-4.  The Lake Monsters got on the board early and never trailed for the rest of the game.  Now the Royals set their sights on a weekend match-up with the Coq-Moody Cubs.

Finally, Lake Monsters Solve Mission; Emerge Victorious 11-1

Wednesday night in Mission the Lake Monsters finally added the Twins to the list of teams they have beaten this year.  It seems as Mission has been a difficult opponent for most teams this season but the Lake Monsters put on a display on the road with an 11-1 victory.

Lake Monsters Earn Split in Double-header vs. both Aldergrove teams

The Ridge Meadows Lake Monsters went 1-1 in a double-header that saw them face both Aldergrove teams in one day.  The monsters had a depleted line-up that featured two bantam players but managed to win the first game 16-4 before losing the second game 12-7.

Monsters Extend League Winning Ways with Win Over RM Braves

The Ridge Meadows Lake Monsters won again to run their league record to 5-2-1 and continue to climb the standings.  Currently the Lake Monsters are leading the group of Ridge Meadows teams within the Midget 'AA' league.  More positive news saw Lake Monsters center fielder Connor Epp close to a return to the lineup as he took batting practice on Monday and worked out at the field.  With Connor's return appearing imminent the Lake Monsters are poised to add even more speed to their lineup.  The game itself saw a 9-5 victory for the Monsters and a season first complete game thrown by rookie Jeremy Zirk.  Zirk was dominant throughout the game, rarely getting into trouble.  The Lake Monsters will workout on Wednesday and don't play again till Saturday when Aldergrove visits Albion Sports Complex.

Zirk's Extra Inning Hit Helps Monsters Defeat Poco Red Sox

Jeremy Zirk had an extra inning basehit that propelled the Ridge Meadows Lake Monsters to a 9-8 victory over Poco.  The Lake Monsters were playing with a depleated lineup that was missing several veteran players, so much so that they needed to call up a Bantam player.  However, these young players stepped up and delivered another win.  This is the 3rd in a row!

Lake Monsters Crush Cubs with Convincing Victory

The Ridge Meadows Lake Monsters put forth their most convincing win of the season, trouncing the Coquitlam Moody Cubs by a score of 14-0.  The win did not come without a cost as Monsters outfielder Connor Epp has injured his shoulder and is listed as day-to-day.  It's a quick turnaround for the Lake Monsters as they matchup with the Port Coquitlam Red Sox the next day at 7:00 p.m. back at home (Albion).  The Monsters are on a bit of a tear of late and look to continue the momentum into the break before the Scott Smith Tournament.

Aldergrove #2 Can't Field a Team for Game on April 20th

The Aldergrove #2 team did not have enough pitchers for the game on the 20th of April and could not play on this day.  The game will be re-scheduled.  There will be a practice at 5:00 p.m. on April 20th.  We might as well use the field if we have it.
