Summer: We are very excited about our LCNBA camp July 14-17. This summer's camp will be an NBA themed camp where campers will go through a combine, draft, training camp and playoff. Ex-LCHS players and our current coaching staff will be on hand to teach and make sure campers have a great experience.

 

5/20/15:Austin and Trevor Mansour signed their letters of intent to play basketball at Wayland Baptist University.

 

5/4/15: Congratulations to our team manager Billy Bui who is receiving a scholarship from the Houston Area Basketball Coaches Association for his contributions to our team this past year. Billy was a huge asset to our coaching staff and players. Thanks Billy!!!

4/30/15: Congratulations to Seniors Chad Glover, Austin Mansour, and Trevor Mansour for being in the top 10% of the class of 2015. Your hard work and dedication in the classroom has made us proud.

4/01/15: Austin Mansour has been invited to play in the HABCA 2015 All-Star Game. Austin averaged 14 pts, 9 rebs as a Senior and is a 2-time All district Selection. Austin will be the first Mustang to play in the HABCA game since 2012 when Michael Carey was selected to play for the South All-Stars.

Congratulations to the following Mustang basketball players who earned post-season honors:

Austin Mansour (2015): 24-5A Offensive MVP

Byron Brown (2018): 24-5A Newcomer of the year

Trace Gonzalez (2015): 2nd team 24-5A

Trevor Mansour (2015): 2nd team 24-5A

Montreal Lee (2016): Honorable Mention 24-5A

Season Recap: The Mustangs finished their 2014-2015 season with a record of 11-18. Although the season ended without the Mustangs meeting expectations on the court the program took another step forward in the classroom. Highlights from the season were tournaments in Needville and Corpus Christi where the team posted a 5-3 tournament record and district wins over Angleton and Port Lavaca Calhoun.

 

Mid Season Update: Coming into the Christmas break the Mustangs are 8-7. Upcoming games are at Westfield on Dec. 30 and at home vs. Brenham on Jan. 2nd. We hope to see you there.

 

Tryouts for non-football players will be on Oct. 30th at 4:30. Any boys wanting to try out will need to have a physical on file with Doc Fyke and an eligibility card filled out and turned in to Coach Joy. 

 

 

 

July 31st- This past week we held our 1st basketball camp. Had a great week meeting new players and parents. The Blue team won the camp game 66-45. Isaiah "Microwave" Melendez took home MVP honors.

The Mustangs finished the season with an overall record of 18-14. The mustangs were 8-4 in district play which was good enough to earn 2nd place. Season highlights were winning our first round playoff game against Pearland Dawson, beating Angleton twice, and winning 67% of our games vs. 4A competition.
