History of Janesville Youth Baseball Program

Janesville Youth Baseball was started in 1958. The league started with eight teams for boys ages 9-12. Bob Geise was the man mainly responsible for generating initial interest in a Janesville Little League Program. He wanted his kids to have a chance to be involved in an organized sport.

This year JYB added a 8 year old league and a girls softball league. JYB has grown since 1958. JYB consists of 5 Leagues.

8 year old league consists of 4 teams
Little League 9-10 consists of 10 teams
Little League 11-12 consists of 12 teams
Babe Ruth 13-15 consists of 10 teams
