Another big win for the Vipers as they beat the Stixx 5-0 and continue the win streak. The Vipers hit just enough to score 5 runs but the highlight of the evening was the great pitching and fielding. Gage and Ryan combined for a no-hitter. Gage battled 5 solid innings striking out the side in the 4th inning. Ryan pitched the last 2 innings and recorded 3 strikeouts. Congratulations to the pitching staff and the fielders who allowed them to pitch a no-hitter.
The Vipers extend their win streak to 4 games after beating the Orioles 24-3. Nice job by Jacob who threw 3 innings and only gave up 3 three runs while striking out 3 batters. Paul took over in the 4th inning and faced 3 batters before handing the ball over to Brennan who did the same in the 5th inning. Every Viper batter reached base at least once and scored at least 1 run. Congratulations to Aaron and Gage who each hit a Grand Slam.
It's getting crazy but I think this is what a winning streak feels like. Three games in three days and we have just completed our third win in a row after beating the Rockets 7-6. Quentin, Ryan and Gage put their bats to good use getting several hits between them. The Vipers scored early and got some good pitching by Gage, and Tyler finished off the game in dramatic fashion. The highlight of the game was Jack as he saved the game with his leaping ability to record the last two outs of the game.
The Vipers brought their bats to Affton and beat the Bulldogs 16-4 on Wednesday. Paul and Jacob combined for a strong outing and Paul got a homerun the hard way by legging it out after a smash to the outfield. Jacob went 3-3 and the rest of the team came out of their hitting slump.
The Vipers bounced back last night after a long time off and beat the Gamers 5-3. This was a tight game that was won with good pitching by Tyler and Ryan, and timely hitting. Ryan muscled up and went yard with a deep shot over the left-center fence.
The Vipers will be back at it on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. Team pictures will be on Tuesday, and that information has been emailed to each of you. Don't forget we have the Columbia Tournament coming up and hopefully by Monday we will have our shedule for the tournament.
