Player of the Game: The POG was awarded to Ryan. Ryan was very strong on defense again. He has been a stalwart defender. Neverbacking down from a challenge. He took the ball on a couple of runs today and still hustled back to cover his position. Late in the first half Ryan sprinted back to clear a ball off the goal line after it got behind everyone. Well done Ryan. |

Finally! The date has been set for the medal ceremony...RCH Thunder 1st place in Silver 1. We are to receive our medals at the RYSA AGM, which is Tuesday May 26th from 6:00 to 6:30 pm at the Richmond City Hall Council Chambers. Congratulations everyone, and see you there!

2009 Season Wrap UP - March 24th, 2009
On Tuesday March 24th, 2009 we had our team wrap up at Boston Pizza at Ironwood. The event was well attended by every Player and most Parents. We missed Erik, who was stranded due to his JAL flight being cancelled.
Highlights of the event and awards:
Top Goal Scorer - Winner of a Mini Soccer Ball = Elyjah
Most often POG - Winner of a Flashy Mini Ball = Elyjah & Luc @ 4 each.
Most Improved Player - Winner of a Flashy Mini Ball = Charlie
Most Valuable Player - as voted by Players Winner of a Flashy Mini Ball = Erik.
Thank you all for attending, and special thanks to the Tolman's who took the majority of our team pictures, Joe Varona who too our video and David Favrholdt who did our linesman job. Honorable mention to Peter Bergunder who sub in to ref for us too!

We all wish Charlie and his family well during this time of saddness. Charlie will be away this weekend attending the funeral for his grandfather who passed away.

All Practices: There will be no more practices.
The boys are all tired and sore. If it is just muscle soreness, they can work though it, with healthy nutrition, plenty of rest, lots of fluids and proper stretching. If they have injuries, then it is likely that they will have to refrain from impact training....and in some cases, stop physical actvity all together. Please speak to me to address any injury concerns.
SLEEP! The boys need more rest for their bodies to recover from the stresses they are putting them through. Especially on game nights.
