Posted Aug 22/10 - Saints take 2nd place in 1st Ever Tournament

After only three practices, the North County Saints took home 2nd place in the USTSA Summer Warmup Tournament in the 13U Division. The Saints went 1-1 in Pool play on the first day of the Tournament, defeating the SoCal Bros 8-3, and losing to the San Diego Storm 8-3. The Saints were the #3 Seed and drew the Storm again for the playoffs. A great pitching performance by Justen Burkey, and some extremely hot bats gave the Saints a 14-1 victory to send them to the Championship game. Once again, the Saints faced the SoCal Bros, but came away on the short end of a 10-7 game. This was great start for a bunch of boys who just began practicing together a couple of weeks ago.

Welcome to the North County Saints New Home Page. The Saints will be participating in the 14U Division for the 2010-2011 season.

The Saints are members of the San Marcos Baseball Club (SMBC), which is now in it's 4th year of providing a high quality travel baseball experience at a reasonable cost. There have been no paid positions in SMBC since it's inception in 2007. SMBC teams have participated in, and won, a significant number of Tournaments in that time, including National Invitationals.
