The FVBC team has now won 11 games in a row going undeated winning the End of Summer Classic at Lynden Washington. Starting strong on sat., they put away Woodenville Tigers 10-2. Their second game although never indoubt was 9-8 against BC. Minor Vancouver Mounties. On Sunday, Seattle Senators kept it close with FVBC winning 6-3. Their next opponent was Tahoma Bears. July 24 Provincial Champs

It was a great week in Trail. The boys went undefeated and beat the host team 4-1 in the championship game to win the tournament. The game was close with both teams making great plays in the field. With some clutch hitting FVBC managed to get on the board first and hold Trail at bay.
The team allowed only 8 runs in 5 games on the back of some great pitching and stellar defensive.Andy, Trevor and Kyle each won game MVPs and Ace was voted tournament MVP. The team now heads to Oregon for the Regionals with the winner going to the World Series

July 9 2nd Place

After finishing 1st overall in round-robin play, FVBC faced Rutland Rockies in the Championship game. It was a very spirited affair with the Rutland coach being tossed from the game and a few too many questionable calls by the umpires. FVBC opened the scoring in the bottom of the first and Rutland rallied to a 2 run lead by the 4th.
Andy hit a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 4th to tie the game. Rutland then managed to get a few runners in, to take a 2run lead.
Tom then hit a single with the bases loaded in the sixth to score 1 with a FVBC runner getting tagged out at home in a questionable call. FVBC then rallied again in the 7th, and left the tieing run at third base. FVBC left a total of 13 runners stranded during the game. They had their chances. Give credit to the Rutland Rockies for their performance and all in all it was a great game and FVBC was very proud to be a part of it.
