All Players Please Read

The York University baseball team is a self-funded program. In order to cover operating costs, each player is required to pay a $250 performance bond prior to participating in any on field workout sessions. In addition, each player must also submit a completed player application package.  Players who are not selected as members of the final roster will be reimbursed the entire amount of the performance bond at the end of training camp.  Members of the team will have the opportunity to have their monies reimbursed based on fundraising and sponsorship initiatives.  It is important that all players look towards seeking sponsorship to help reduce the cost of fees.

The performance bond is put in place to ensure that only the basic operating costs of the team are covered.  Players selected to the team must realize that additional costs may arise during the season and that individuals are required to cover their own costs.  Such costs would include travel and accommodations on overnight trips as well as during the National Championship Tournament.

The bond also encourages that all players to become actively involved in seeking out sponsorship opportunities to help support the team.  It is understood that balancing the schedule of a student athlete can be difficult, however the more money the team can raise, the better the experience will be for all team members.
