Posted Jul 31/11 - Tri City Secures Last Provincial Placing

The Tri City Indians finally secured their spot in the 10 team Bantam AAA Provincials as the 9th seed by beating the Richmond Chuckers      9-3 .

The score remained close with Richmond taking a 3-2 lead in the top of the 4th when the Indians failed to make some routine plays allowing 3 runs to score without a ball being hit out of the infield.

That was as close as it would get as the bats came to life in the 5th and 6th innings and with a strong performance by the starting pitcher TJ McCullough the Indians close the door on the Chuckers season.

TJ was one out short of a complete game having to leave due to picth counts at 97 but Reilly Peters came on in relief to close out the game.

Hayden, TJ, Tyler, Jonathan, and Evan B. each had 2 hits to lead the attack.

Posted Jul 24/11 - Tri City Splits with White Rock Magic Number is 2 Wins

As Tri City fights to secure the last gtd Provincial spot they fell short of Saturday's goal to take both games off the White Rock double header.

With 2 games left we must win both games or have North Delta lose one and we win one.

Any combination of 2 wins or loses between TC and North Delta will secure the last spot.

Posted Jul 18/11 - Tri City Captures Valley of Champions

The Tri City Indians defended their 2010 title by beating the Okanagan A's 7-1 on Sunday in Kelowna's annual Valley of Champions Tournament.

Although the field was short the kids had a great time which was capped by a incredible team BBQ on Saturday with enough food for 2 teams.

Special thanks to Doug Butler and Jeff Soutar who supplied the Ribs, Steaks and Prawns that had us eating for hours.

An additional thanks to all of the parents for bringing the kids. This has always been a fun weekend but this year fell a bit short of expectations from the number of teams registered in our category.
