The Threshers finished their season last year in a very disapointing way, but flip flopped that around winning their two games in walk off fashion.

During the first game against the Swamp Dragons the Threshers pitched Bill Anderson. Bill started off very well in the first 2 innings but gave up 2 runs in the last inning. The Threshers fought back in the 3rd scoring 2 runs with 2 outs to go. The game then went in to extras. The Swamp Dragons were shut down in the 4th inning and the Threshers went to work. With 2 outs in the 4th inning Bernie Woodford reached on base with a single. Alex Zimmerman reached as well. With a 2-2 count Bill Anderson blasted a deep drive to right field for a 3 run walk off homerun.

In their second game of the day the Threshers struggled early but rebounded in the late innings. Bernie Woodford pitched into the extra innings shutting the Sidewinders down. As the Threshers came up to bat the drama continued. Bill Anderson led off with a base hit. Bernie grounded out in to a fielders choice and Alex reached again. Bill Anderson knocked Bernie over to 3rd. Alex ripped a hard line drive up the middle to win the game and send the Threshers off to a 2-0 record to start the season.

The 2 walk off wins by the Threshers made it the first time in league history for a team to win their first 2 games with back to back walk off wins.
