Posted May 4/12 - Longhorns Have Offensive Explosion on Senior Night
A 24-0 JCHS win was sure to boost some offensive statistics.  Here is the boxscore from Thursday's game: Senior Night Boxscore.  The list below shows how much batting averages and other offensive statistics increased after the win vs. the Cloudland Highlanders:

*Second baseman, Chad Hodgkiss, raised his season batting average from .241 to .274.  He raised his on base percentage from .333 to .357.

*Senior, Andy Stout, raised his average from .276 to .323.  His RBI total more than doubled, as entering yesterday's game he had knocked in four runs on the season.  As of today, Friday, May 4th, Stout now has nine RBI on the year.

*Daniel Helm finished the 2012 regular season with an amazing .457 batting average.  The first baseman also hit his second triple of the year and knocked in his 22nd run.

*Big Harley Reece added to his run production numbers vs. Cloudland, as he hit his fourth 2012 home run and knocked in his 20th, 21st, and 22nd runs of the season.  The 22 RBI tied Daniel Helm for the team lead.

*Senior night was special for Bobby Taylor.  The hard working senior pitched four shutout innings in first career Varsity start, had two hits, and knocked in a Longhorn run.

*Junior, Jon Vannoy came a few inches of hitting his second 2012 home run (He hit a JV bomb at Sullivan North), as he hit a pinch hit double that almost cleared the left field wall.
