With the addition of the Yorkton Marlins, the SESBL went from having three playoff eligible teams, to four teams for the 2021 season. The playoff format will be the #1 seed vs #4, and #2 vs #3 in a best of three semi final series. The winners of each series will play a best of five final. The higher seed will receive home field advantage for all series'. The semi final series will start the week of Monday, July 19, while the final will start the following week.

As of now, only the Parkland Pirates are guaranteed to finish 4th. The Langenburg Legends can finish 2nd or 3rd, while the Yorkton Marlins can finish anywhere from 1st to 3rd. The Canora Supers can finish no lower than 2nd. The games over the next two days will decide the playoff seedings, and the playoff schedule will be finalized shortly after
