The Chiefs return home after a successful week in Phoenix.The schedule consisted of 8 exhibition games and 2 practices.The facilities were great and they got loads of reps on dry and hot facilities.Pitching held up nicely after a winter in the cages.Hitting showed lots of good swings.

Off days the boys enjoyed some MLB spring training games, an NBA basketball game and the NHL Coyotes playing Vancouver.

Baseball BC High Performance Seminar

Baseball BC in conjunction with the 7 inning stretch group is very pleased to announce the return of the High Performance Athletes Seminar.

This event is scheduled for Saturday February 9th from 8:30 to 5:00 at the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel in Surrey.

Speakers will touch on topics such as nutrition, strength and conditioning, life lesson development and high performance opportunities.

Dec.14...The 2nd half the Whalley Chiefs off season workout and training package is being announced.The package is for boys between 13-18 covering hitting, throwing, pitching and a core strength and conditioning program.Instruction will be conducted by the Chiefs on field staff at the new Whalley indoor facility.The 10 week sessions will begin Saturday Jan.5th.13 and conclude Saturday March 16.Times will be broken down as follows:Saturdays from 9:30am to 1:30pm(4) Sundays off , Mondays for catcher's only from 5:30 to 7:30pm with Ernie Hawkins (2),Tuesdays from 6:30 to 9:30pm(3)off Wednesdays and Thursdays with Gord Kerr from 6:30 to 9:30pm(3) and off Fridays.That's 15 hours a week.Cost will be $250 payable to Whalley Chiefs Baseball.Any questions can be directed to any of the Chiefs staff.Register on line.
 

Dec.14....Plans are well underway for the Sr.Chiefs to personalize their baseball requirements for a week during Spring Break.With that in mind both on field practice and exhibition game schedules are being formalized now.Saturday March 16 to Saturday March 23 are the dates being worked on.A typical day might have a practice in the am and a game in the pm.Teams from Arizona,Ontario and BC will make up the schedule.MLB big league spring training is well underway at this time.Games and workouts will be at some of the area's finest baseball facilities.Gene Autry & Red Mountain in Mesa and Snedigar Complex in Chandler will be used.Firm details will follow shortly.
