| Game Notes: Verona brought out the big bats Tuesday night. After posting a 2-0 lead, the Wildcats loaded up the bases and Claudia Kepler hit a line drive home run out to center field for a grand slam. Later on after Whitney Franklin laid down a nice squeeze bunt scoring Bailey Buisker, Kelly Gavigan hit a towering home run to left center that hit the scoreboard. The Cats played some solid defense all night with only a couple of errors, but they kept Janesville Parker off of home plate. Then in the fifth inning, after Tia Goglio reached first, Franklin again bunted her over and she moved up to third. Goglio then scored on a squeeze bunt by Gavigan. Next came up Jillian Bauer with two runners on, who had a base hit up the middle to end the game. The Wildcats found their offense tonight and look to keep this momentum going into the rest of the season. | ||||||||||
