Midget Royals Clinch Regular Season Title

On Wednesday night, the Ridge Meadows Royals clinched the 2015 Midget AAA regular season title in emphatic fashion, beating the Tri-City Indians 10-0 in a mercy-rule win, with Royals' pitcher Seth Injates throwing a no-hitter.
Injates dominated the Indians' hitters all game, allowing only 3 walks while striking out 9. He also helped his own cause at the plate, going 2-3 with a triple and 2 runs batted. in. Other offensive standouts were Brayden Slaughter (2-3, RBI), Kyron Smith (2-3, triple), Jaden Shanley (2-3, triple, 2 RBI), and Nick Peters (2-2, RBI, SB).
The win improved the Royals' regular season record to 33-3 with six games remaining before Provincials. By virtue of winning the pennant, the Royals will hold the number one seed at the Provincials in Nanaimo. This weekend they will play a pair of road double-headers at Chilliwack and South Fraser, before wrapping up the regular season next week against the Aldergrove Dodgers and Chilliwack Cougars.
