| Game Notes: The Rockets came into this one against an understaffed Caronport as the Cougars only had seven players dressed. The Rocket strategy was to run, run, run just like the Cougars like to do, but the team wanted to see if they could keep that pace the whole game. The first quarter was a good one for the Cougars as the Rockets couldn't hit the basket and they took a 12 point lead. The Rockets did not quit on their strategy and the Cougars started to slow down on defense and the Rockets capitalized by chipping at the lead and having an 18 point quarter. In the second half, the Rockets were able to close it to with five, but the Cougars showed why they are the defending champs and held off the Rockets' charge for the win. Kudos to posts Sheridan and Megan for combining for 32 points and giving us a presence in the paint. | |||||
