The Monarchs scored all four runs in the first inning and went on “cruise control” MM coach Jason Mackey said, as the Panthers earned the go-ahead runs in the sixth behind a two-run inning.

“We didn’t separate like we needed to,” Mackey said.

MM secured the GSHL 2A’s fourth seed into next Tuesday’s Southwest 2A District IV tournament and faces 2A Evergreen Conference champion W.F. West.

Jordan Frost went 2-for-4 with a run and RBI; his RBI single coupled with Nate Busack’s RBI single helped MM get its 4-0 lead in the first.
