Trey Pinkney and Atif Russell Reach 1,000 Points
Congratulations to Spartans Trey Pinkney and Atif Russell who each reached the 1,000 point mark for their careers on Friday night against the Morton Ranch Mavericks. Trey has been a four-year starter for the Spartans at point guard while Atif has been a two-year starter at the wing spot, and a three-year Varsity player, for Seven Lakes. Congratulations Trey and Atif!!!
Spartans Sweep Morton Ranch Mavericks
The Seven Lakes Spartans swept the Morton Ranch Mavericks on Friday to improve their program record to 11-0 against the Mavericks on the year. The Spartan Varsity at 26-5 and 7-2 on the year, capped the evening with a 65-45 win. Each of the Spartan sub-varsities notched W's on the night as well.
Spartans Steal 4 of 5 from Strake
The Seven Lakes men's program traveled to Strake Jesuit on Tuesday and took 4 of 5 from the Crusaders. The Varsity couldn't overcome a tough start to district-leading Crusaders and, despite a gritty 4th quarter comeback, lost 74-61. The JV, 9A, 9B, and Sophomores all earned victories on the night to stay in first place in the district standings.
Spartans Swipe 4 of 5 from Cougars.
The Seven Lakes program took 4 of 5 program victories on Friday night at Cinco Ranch High School. The 25-4, (6-1) Varsity earned a 48-42 win to secure their standing in the district race. The Junior Varsity, Freshmen A and Sophomore teams all notched wins as well to improve their district records to 7-0.
Spartans Sweep Katy Tigers
The Seven Lakes Spartans 24-4, (5-1) swept the Katy Tigers on Tuesday. The Varsity capped the evening with a 62-48 victory over the Tigers, while the JV, 9A, 9B and Super Sophomores all earned victories as well. The Spartans will travel to Cinco Ranch on Friday to take on the Cougars.
Spartans Sweep Mustangs
The 23-4 (4-1) Spartan Varsity capped a victory-filled night with a 47-42 win over the Katy Taylor Mustangs on Friday night. The Junior Varsity, Sophomores, Freshmen A and Freshmen B teams all notched victories on the night at well. The Spartan Program will be back in action on Tuesday afternoon against the Katy Tigers.

Spartans All-Time Leading Scorer

Congratulations to Jaylon Jones, Seven Lakes' four-year Varsity player and three-year Varsity starter, who has just eclipsed Anthony Kendrick's record for All-Time Leading Scorer in Seven Lakes History. Jaylon has scored over 1280 points in his career as a Spartan and has played on three playoff teams and one regional qualifying team. Jaylon Jones has helped lead the Spartan Varsity to a 22-4 start this season. Jaylon was presented with a game ball before district game #3 against the Mayde Creek Rams. Congratulations Jaylon!
Spartans Sweep Mustangs at Memorial
The Seven Lakes Spartans traveled to Memorial High School in Spring Branch on Tuesday to compete against the Mustangs. The Spartans swept the Mustangs earning victories for all five teams. The 22-4 Varsity improved their district record to 3-1 by capping the evening with a 44-35 victory.
Spartans Sweep Mayde Creek Rams
The Seven Lakes Spartans swept the Mayde Creek Rams on Friday night to increase the program record to 65-6 on the season. The Varsity capped the evening with a 65-49 victory over the Rams while the Freshmen A won the most thrilling game with a 54-44 overtime win. The Spartans will travel to Memorial next Tuesday to take on the Mustangs.
Spartans Sweep Morton Ranch Mavericks!
The Seven Lakes Spartans traveled to Morton Ranch on Tuesday for district game #2 and the Spartan Varsity clinched a 20 win season for the fifth year in a row! Congratulations Spartans! All four sub-varsities teams notched victories as well earning a program sweep of the Mavericks.
Spartans Capture Alvin Holiday Classic Title!

Competing in their sixth straight tournament championship game over the past two seasons, the SLHS Spartans captured the Alvin Holiday Classic over the Manvel Mavericks 43-41 on Thursday night. This was the fourth tournament title in the last six appearances over two seasons: The Spartans have captured titles over Manvel in the Alvin Tourney, over Wheatley in the Nike Classic, over Kingwood Park in last year's Nike Classic, and over Austin LBJ in last year's Jaguar Classic.
The Spartans opened the Alvin Holiday Classic with four victories over Houston Sterling, Channelview, Pasadena Dobie, and La Porte. Congratulations Spartans!
Spartans Sweep Fort Bend Marshall
The Seven Lakes Spartans won all five games at Fort Bend Marshall on Tuesday, December 20th. The wins included an exciting over-time varsity win 69-68. The Spartans will break for the Christmas Holiday and return to action on Tuesday December 27th in the Alvin Holiday Tournament at Manvel High School at 2 pm and game two at 7 pm at Alvin High School.
Spartans Sweep Kempner Cougars
The Seven Lakes Spartans swept the Cougars on Monday and the Varsity capped the evening with a 61-41 victory. The Junior Varsity, Sophomores, Freshmen A and Freshmen B all brought home victories to round out the sweep.

SLHS Varsity Captures Back to Back Nike Classic Title
The Seven Lakes men's Varsity captured the inaugural Nike Classic Title, or formerly known as the Katy ISD Classic. The Spartans stretched their winning streak in the tournament to 19 games. The championship victory was over Houston Wheatley 72-69 while the Spartans also captured tourney wins over Cy-Springs, Klein Oak, Brazoswood, and Waltrip.
