Auburn will play in the Region C Tournament for a school record, third straight time. Auburn's Quarter Final opponent will be the Hogohegee Regular Season Champion, Chilhowie High School. The game will be played at Chilhowie, Tuesday night at 7:00. Please come out and support the Eagles in this important game.

The Three Rivers All-District Team was announced Friday night. Two Auburn players were recognized on the team. Holly Saul, Senior, was named to the Second Team All-District. Holly led the Eagles in Points(11.5/game), Rebounds(10.1/game), Field Goal Percentage(50.8%) and Blocks(23). She was second on the team in Steals(45). Jordan Watson, Freshman, was also named to the Second Team All-District. Jordan led the Eagles in Steals (46) and Assists(34). Jordan was second on the team in Points(7.0/game) and Rebounds(4.7/game).

Auburn started slowly against Floyd in the Semi Finals of the Three Rivers District Tournament. That is something you cannot do when you face the #1 seeded Buffaloes. Floyd would jump out to a 22-4 first quarter lead to catapult themselves to a 57-27 win. Floyd throws wave after wave of pressure at teams they face. Wednesday night was no different as they forced Auburn into 37 turnovers for the game. Floyd also hit the offensive boards, out-rebounding the Eagles 17-5. This was too much for Auburn to overcome. Holly Saul lead the Eagles in scoring with 11. Jordan Watson added 8.

Auburn defeated Giles 66-38 in the first round of the Three Rivers District Tournament Tuesday and will advance to play Floyd Co. on Wednesday. Auburn jumped out early on the Spartans, outscoring them 17-9 in the first quarter. 4 first quarter points from Kristen Snyder and 3-point shots from Kristin Campbell, Kayla Gibbs and Samantha Smith, helped pace the Eagles. Giles was able to close the gap by halftime by hitting free throw and 3 pointers as they would hit 4 3-pointers in the first half and go 6-7 from the line in the second quarter. The Auburn lead at halftime was 6. The third quarter would swing the momentum to Auburn. Holly Saul would score 8 third quarter points. The Eagles would go onto dominate the second half, outscoring Giles by 22 to claim the 66-38 win. The scoring was spread out, as every player cored for Auburn. Holly Saul would end with 13 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocks. Kristin Campbell would finish with 5 points and a season high 6 assists. Auburn will next play Wednesday night at Christiansburg High School against Floyd County. The Semi-Final Game will start at 6:00.
