The 2008 Cardinals Alumni Game was a treat for spectators to watch. The Alumni showed that they have not lost a step in their game beating the '08 Cards 9-8 in 9 innings. Co-Mvp's for the game were Luke Stroup going 2-3 at the plate and Dustin Page going 2-3 with a double. The two were a handful for the Cardinals to deal with on the bases to go along with their great games at the plate. Robin Fuller takes the win for the Alumni improving his alumni record to 2-1. Taylor Koenig suffered the loss. A big thank you goes out to all the Alumni who participated and we look forward to the '09 contest.

CARDINALS SOAR IN PALOUSE: The Abbotsford Cardinals traveled to Washington State University to play in the U-19 tournament on the weekend and come home as Champions. The Cardinals went undefeated in the tournament with a perfect 4-0 record. Along with the Championship came some individual hardware as Cards outfielder Jon Mihic was named Tournament MVP, Infielder Damon Loewen received the Golden Glove Award for Top Defensive Player in the Tournament and Pitcher Mike Coleman recived the Top Pitcher Award. The team played very well as they were the highest scoring team in the tournament putting up 41 runs in 4 games and the best defensive team only allowing 16 runs against. The most impresive part about the weekend was the fact that the Cardinals were the only Team in the Tournament to swing Wood bats.

WEEK ONE: JULY 14TH-17TH WEEK TWO: JULY 21ST-24TH
CAMPS WILL BE HELD AT THE ALDERGROVE COMPLEX/FACILITY WHERE THE PEEWEE PROVINCIALS WERE HELD LAST YEAR. CAMPS WILL RUN FROM 8:30AM-NOON AND 12:30-4PM
