Posted Sep 2/20 - 2021 Season Guidlines

Flexibility and patience will be this year's mantra. Roanoke County is heavily emphasizing masks, hand washing, equipment sanatizing, and distancing. The Middle School program will take it's lead from the Virginia High School League (VHSL) and High School program. Some information can be found here: https://www.nfhs.org/articles/nfhs-guidance-keys-state-association-plans-for-restarting-high-school-sports/?utm_source=delivra&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=September%202020%20HST&utm_id=2380999&utm_term=NFHS+Guidance+Keys+State+Association+Plans+for+Restarting+High+School+Sports&dlv-emuid=069a6086-2ce8-48d0-909c-4c186e702c12&dlv-mlid=2380999

Other schools have cancelled their sports seasons, so it is nice we will have the opportunity to get out there and play.

Students that are completeing 100% remote classes ARE very eligible and highly encouraged to participate.

Student physical forms will expire on June 30. The season may extend beyond that date, so another form may be required.

This season will not look like any other in the way it is carried out, so please be understanding and flexible. Many newly added responsibilities have been placed on the Coaches to keep players safe. Coaches will be required to document players in attendance, take temperature (if not taken upon arrival for classes), and to complete a set of questions for each player before each session.

Conditioning sessions will more than likely be held in two groups during the week. Students completeing 100% remote will need to select a set of days to come in to condition.

More details will be presented here when the season nears.
