Columbus Lady Wings 83 t 71 Victry over Montgomery Dream

            COLUMBUS, GA, June 9, 2012:  The Columbus Lady Wings defeated Montgomery Dream for a second time this season bringing their record to 4 and 0.  The Lady Wings defeated Montgomery Dream in a 92 to 68 victory back in May.  Montgomery Dream hustled hard to defeat the Lady Wings today narrowing the victory margin by 12-points for a 83 to 71 victory.  The game was close with a 61 point tie in the fourth quarter. 

            Brittaney Thomas led the lady wings to victory with 21 points.  Monica Sicka scored 17, Shanika Carter scored 15 points and Zipporah Horton scored 12 points.   

            Montgomery Dream will have one final time to redeem themselves against the Lady Wings on June 23 at Northside High School Gym, located at 2002 American Way.

            The Columbus Lady Wings are ranked # 2 in the entire Women's Blue Chip Basketball League (WBCBL), coming in second only to Charleston Lowcountry Fire.  The Lady Wings are #1 in the South Region of the WBCBL.
